METHOTREXATE-HELP MY NOSE KEEPS RUNNING. I have waited to feel abit better with Methotrexate tablets for a year and a quarter. Now i feel better in my knee joint but the running nose side effect is making me me have too many nosebleeds. I take 15mg of Metrhotrexate a week with 5 Folic Acid Tablets. Any-one out there feel the same? Struggling girlie

Hi Claire,

I agree with the others, ring your rheumy nurse or GP.
I take mtx but have not had that side effect .

Hi Claire,
Off the MTX now but whilst on it I did have a few nose bleeds alongside a number of other side effects. All reported to the GP and rheumy team mostly not listened to or taken any notice of or dismissed as trivial. Then ended up at Xmas with an allergic reaction to it. I don't mean to worry you, just tell you of my experience, the allergic reaction was fairly mild although pretty horrid. As others have said get it checked out. Take care and let us know how you get on

Thank-you girls for your advice. I am going to keep a diary to show the experts.
